We stage two productions every year, performed and produced by amateur members from a cross-section of the local community. Both our productions take place at Putney Arts Theatre and these are the traditional family pantomime in January and a musical in May. Our current members range from age 16-65 and the whole society has a “big family” feel about it.

We always welcome new members – of all ages and abilities. There is no audition to join our society and members are encouraged to get involved in any capacity. See below for more information about joining the PLOS family.

How much does it cost?

PLOS Member 
Just £30 (£20 concession) makes you a PLOS member for a whole year, enabling you to take part in both annual productions. As well as this, members receive 10% off all PLOS workshops, social events and fundraisers.  You'll also receive our regular newsletter, and don't forget unlike other societies you don't need to audition to join us.

PLOS Star 
If you prefer to stay behind the scenes, then our twinkling PLOS Star membership could be for you. We're always looking for people to help backstage - be it with props, costumes, satge management, sound or lighting. For £20 (£15 concession) you will receive the same benefits as a PLOS member.

PLOS Super Star 
Super stars provide the PLOS support network, making our audiences sparkle! We really depend on your support to make our shows a success, so we've created the perfect packages for you! We have 2 options available:

Blue Sapphire - 65th Annivesary Special
In this special anniversary year why not show your support for PLOS by becoming a Blue Sapphire Member? For just £65 you will feature in both this year's programmes with a photo and short PLOS biography of up to 65 words. You will also be celebrated on our front of house noticeboards and given a 10 per cent discount on all PLOS shows and social activities this year. Show Fees
In order to keep the society running and to continue putting on shows at a professional standard we do ask that all cast members pay a show fee (currently £90). This represents good value when you look at what it covers: costumes, set, props, band and much, much more! It also contributes to the hire of rehearsal and performance venues and a strong production team supporting you.

Fancy helping out behind the scenes?

Don't want to become a PLOS Star but still fancy helping out then there is always a huge amount happening behind the scenes of a show, so if you are interested in lending a hand with building set, backstage crew, costume design/making or anything else then let us know.
