Socials and Events

At PLOS, the curtain doesn’t fall when rehearsals end. Our socials and events bring members and the wider community together through fun, inclusive fundraising and creative gatherings.

From danceathons to themed nights and post-show parties, there’s always something happening beyond the stage. 💙

PLOS Summer Sessions

Introducing PLOS Summer Sessions — a brand new programme designed to keep you performing, learning, and connecting… without the commitment of a full show.

Whether you want to sharpen your skills, try something new, or just stay involved over the summer, this is your space to do it.

What are they?

Summer Sessions are a series of relaxed, skills-based workshops running throughout the summer.

Each session focuses on a different area of performance — giving you the chance to dip in, build confidence, and develop your craft in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

No rehearsals. No auditions. No long-term commitment.
Just turn up, get involved, and enjoy it.

✨ What to Expect

We’re curating a varied programme of sessions across all areas of theatre and performance, along the lines of:

  • Acting & improv
  • Singing technique & vocal coaching
  • Dance & movement workshops
  • Audition preparation
  • Stage combat
  • …and more

Every session will be led by individuals from the PLOS community (and beyond), bringing fresh ideas, energy, and expertise.

Want to host a session?

Got an idea? We want to hear it.

As part of this new initiative, we’re opening the opportunity for anyone to host their own Summer Session.

This could be anything from a one-off workshop, a skills class, or a group of classes throughout the summer!

👉 Applications to host a session are now open here!

Inclusion & Diversity

PLOS is committed to making theatre accessible, inclusive, and welcoming to everyone.

We believe the stage – and the rehearsal room – should be a safe and supportive space where people of all backgrounds, ages, abilities, and identities can express themselves and feel valued.

  • Open Membership: Anyone with enthusiasm can join – no matter your experience level.
  • Casting with Fairness: Roles are cast based on talent, commitment, and potential, never on stereotypes or assumptions.
  • Celebrating Differences: We recognise the strength that comes from diversity and actively encourage participation from underrepresented groups in the arts.
  • Supportive Environment: We foster kindness, respect, and collaboration in everything we do.

At PLOS, we’re united by a shared love of theatre – and we’re proud to build a society where everyone has a voice, both on stage and behind the scenes.
